Day 2
Kamloops to Banff or Calgary (Kicking Horse Route)
Depart Kamloops through the vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake with its "thousand miles" of shoreline. Pass Craigellachie, where the "last spike" was driven completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. Enter Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snow-sheds and glistening glaciers. The Kicking Horse River leads you to Kicking Horse Pass, the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. Today you will travel from Banff to Jasper along the scenic Icefields Parkway. Overnight in Jasper.

Exploring Jasper National Park

Jasper to Lake Louise

Banff and Lake Louise
you will visit the Bow River Valley, Surprise Corner and the Cave and Basin Centre where Banff's history originated. Next your tour takes you to Lake Louise. En route you will discover Vermilion Lakes, Mt. Rundle, the Hole-in-the-Wall and Johnston Canyon. Free time is available at Lake Louise to explore the lake and have lunch (not included) before visiting the Spiral Tunnels viewpoint in Yoho National Park and returning to Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Day 5
Banff to Jasper
Today you will travel from Banff to Jasper along the scenic Icefields Parkway. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 6
Jasper to Vancouver
Depart on VIA Rail this afternoon and travel overnight through the Canadian Rockies and along the Thompson and Fraser Rivers to Vancouver. Overnight onboard VIA Rail, bedroom accommodation. Dinner served onboard.

Day 7
Exploring Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver on VIA Rail and spend the rest of the day exploring this scenic city. Breakfast included. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 8
Vancouver
Your tour ends with check out from your hotel.

Vancouver
Arrival Arrive in Vancouver for your overnight stay.

Day 2
Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops in British Columbia's interior. En route you will pass through the fertile Fraser Valley and the Fraser Canyon. One of the Canyon's true highlights is Hell's Gate where you will watch water torrent past the Canyon's walls at its narrowest point. This is one of the canyon's true natural treasures. Upon leaving the Fraser Canyon, the train will follow the Thompson River to the city of Kamloops. Dinner and holiday entertainment are included this evening (Two River Junction Dinner and Musical Revue). Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 3
Kamloops to Banff
Continue your journey eastward onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to the Canadian Rockies and the mountain resort of Banff. First, you will travel through vast ranchlands to Shuswap Lake before passing Craigellachie, where the "last spike" was driven completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. Beyond Craigellachie is Rogers Pass with tunnels, glistening glaciers, and snow capped mountains. Before crossing over the Continental Divide into Banff National Park, you will travel through the unique Spiral Tunnels in Yoho National Park, a remarkable engineering achievement. As we travel through the five mountain regions...the magic of the Canadian winter abounds! Overnight in Banff.
Day 4
Skiing in Banff National Park
Enjoy a day of skiing at one of three ski resorts: Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village or Lake Louise. Transfers to and from your Banff accommodation are included. Overnight in Banff.

Day 5
Skiing in Banff National Park
Spend a second day skiing in the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Banff.

Day 6
Banff to Calgary
Spend the morning skiing before transferring this afternoon to downtown Calgary or the Calgary Airport where your tour ends.
